Do we own data that is generated by our students' use of the app/platform?

Yes, all schools retain ownership of our students’ data.

How is our data warehoused/encrypted/protected?

Where is our data specifically stored?

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Who has access to our data?

The school/district regulates access. Access is granted at the school’s discretion. Nobody else, including Clark University, can view student-level data.

We can see the students but we cannot see any information they submit into the portal/platform/app.

Can schools control data access for administrators, parents, or counselors?

Yes. Schools determine who has access to any student data.

Are the app and platform configurable?

Yes, MI PEACE is specifically configured to align with the unique practices and preferences of individual schools and districts.

Can we regular when and how students access the app?

Yes. Schools can use a simple interface to determine when and how students’ access MI PEACE’s embedded mental health screener. Schools can select days of the week and hours of the day when students can access the screener.

The App’s other features remain available to all users all all times.

Can we customize the app to align with our school's operating practices and preferences?

Yes.

Are the MI PEACE app and platform reliable and valid?

Yes, the information provided in the Learn Screens is backed by clinical research.

The Mental Health Screener is a valid and reliable measure of depression, anxiety, sleep problems and inattention.

Could we encounter false positive or false negatives?

Self-report measures are always subject to the accuracy and honesty of the reporter.

Will adopting MI PEACE displace our personnel?

No, on the contrary. MI PEACE is a tool designed to optimize delivery by existing personnel and reinforcing connectivity between students and school-based mental health personnel. MI PEACE better ensures judicious use of limited school resources to deliver essential services to students.

The app neither displaces nor disintermediates school counselors.

Can MI PEACE be integrated for use with our existing LMS, SIS and/or MIS?

Yes. MI PEACE can be integrated for use in conjunction with schools’ existing LMS, SIS and MIS platforms.

How does MI PEACE integrate with our MTSS? Is it a Tier 1 or Tier 2 intervention?

MI PEACE is designed to align with MTSS and best practices in comprehensive school mental health systems and measurement-based care. The app facilitates essential support service delivery across Tiers 1, 2 and 3.

How extensive is the MI PEACE training that is delivered to school staff? Who delivers training and in what format? How long does training take?

Training is efficiently delivered in as little as 2-3 hours. When training concludes, practitioners are fully-competent in using the App and are provided with a training manual for reference.

Training may take place in-person or online (via Zoom or equivalent alternative).

Training is provided by MI PEACE’s creators.

Is post-implementation support provided? Does the equivalent of a help desk exist?

Yes, post-implementation support is provided.
